South African AdventureSouth African Adventure

Itinerary
Day One

This sensational adventure to South Africa begins as you arrive in Cape Town International Airport.

Passing through customs, you will be met by your private chauffeur and transferred to the Ellerman House, your accommodation for the next three nights.

Ellerman House is world-renowned as a discreet getaway for the discerning traveler and its exceptional hospitality is delivered in a dramatic natural setting under sun drenched skies with awe-inspiring sea views of the Atlantic Ocean stretching out to Robben Island.

Day Two

On the morning of day two, you will be met at your hotel and transferred to the Victoria & Albert Waterfront to board your private helicopter. The helicopter will whisk you away to the gorgeous Constantia Wine Estate for a private wine tasting experience. This particular wine estate is one of the oldest in South Africa, and is famous for its spectacular sauvignon blanc wines. Your group will then be escorted to the famous restaurant of the same name, where you will indulge in an mouth-watering lunch in the restaurant’s garden. Here you will be treated to some fabulous Italian inspired food as well as spectacular views of the vineyards and rolling hills beyond. After lunch, you will return to the V&A by helicopter, and will be treated to a low level flight around Table Mountain and the City Bowl.

Day Three

This morning you will be collected from your accommodation and driven to the iconic Boulders Beach, home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African Penguin. Wooden walkways allow visitors to view the penguins in their natural habitat and there is also an information centre offering interesting information about these furry creatures. Children will love the penguins and their antics and we especially recommend your group stop at the swimming beach for safe and enjoyable swimming with the penguins.

On the way back to Cape Town, Quintessentially Escape recommends you return via Cape Point for some exceptional sightseeing, or through Simon’s Town for some shopping in the quaint historical village.

Day Four

Today is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Quintessentially Escape recommends the following activities for your consideration:

Hike up Table Mountain - The spectacular view from the top of Table Mountain is unequalled anywhere in the world. The mountain itself is a national park and hosts some 6,000 species of fynbos (flora) found nowhere else on the planet. There is also a cable car to take visitors up the mountain.

Visit Robben Island - Robben Island was home to former President Nelson Mandela for twenty seven years during the apartheid era, and is now a national monument. Hourly trips from the Nelson Mandela Museum at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront will take you to the island which has become a beacon of hope in the new South Africa.

Day Five

This morning, you will be collected from your accommodation and transferred to Cape Town International Airport to check in for your Business Class flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival in Johannesburg you will be met and transferred to the Federal Air Hanger to board your scheduled charter flight to Londolozi Private Game Reserve.

Your accommodation for three nights will be in a private suite at Tree Camp Lodge. Each suite is beautifully fitted, and comes with its own private swimming pool and contemplation sala.

Londolozi is one of South Africa’s finest Safari destinations with luxurious accommodations, spectacular food and a formidable team of experienced rangers, trackers and naturalists. With over 16,000 hectares of traversing wilderness, no two game drives at Londolozi are ever the same.

Day Six and Seven

Quintessentially Escape recommends the group enjoy two full days of game drives and activities to fully appreciate all that this divine lodge has to offer.

Many of the rangers and trackers at Londolozi grew up living off the land and therefore have an unequalled knowledge of the area and deep cultural connections to the fauna and flora. In addition, Londolozi’s rangers specialize in photographic safaris and where possible will position the vehicle for the guest to capture the perfect photograph to remember this unbelievable experience at home.

Bush walks and specialist photographic safaris can be privately arranged for your group.

Day Eight

On day eight, after a final early morning game drive, you will be transferred back to the airstrip in time for the scheduled charter flight back to Johannesburg. There you will connect to your onward connection home.
