Fighter Jet ExperienceFighter Jet Experience

Package Overview
This extreme adventure takes you to Sydney, where the wonderful weather and stunning scenery make this city the ideal destination for the flight of your life. Flight options include: a high speed, low level flight; aerobatic joyride and combat flight. The whole experience will be filmed and presented to you in DVD format at the end of your trip. In Sydney guests will enjoy three nights staying in a luxurious room at the Park Hyatt and will be treated to a host of additional exclusive activities.

Your experience begins as you arrive at Sydney International Airport where you will be met by your private luxury limousine and taken to the Park Hyatt Sydney. The Park Hyatt is a stunning boutique hotel, located right under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, in the trendy Rocks area of Sydney. Your Park Room will have spectacular views of the harbor and Sydney Opera House.

On the morning of your second day in Sydney, you will be collected from your hotel by your private limousine and transferred to Air Combat Australia in Narellan. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival the air base, you will be taken through a full three hour safety briefing. You will also put on a high altitude G-suit, helmet, oxygen mask and boots before climbing into the passenger seat of the L-39C fighter jet for your exhilarating thirty minute experience in the air.

The Czechoslovakian L-39C was built as the successor to their earlier trainer, the L-29 Delfin. Design work began in 1966, and the first prototype made its initial flight on 4 November 1968. The idea of the design was to marry an efficient, powerful turbofan engine to a sleek, streamlined fuselage, resulting in a strong, economical performer which would become the next standard jet trainer for the Warsaw Pact. Full-scale production was delayed until late 1972 due to apparent problems with the design of the air intakes, but these difficulties were overcome and the type went on to be a great success with the Soviet, Czech and East German air forces, among others. Today the L-39 is the most popular jet warbird in the world, with over 300 believed to be actively flying in the USA alone. Your experience in the air will last twenty minutes, after which you will return to the base for your de-brief before departing back to the city in your private limousine. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

On your third day in Sydney, Quintessentially Escape has arranged a bespoke tour of the city for you. Depending on your interests, we can arrange a private visit to the Royal Opera House, a walk over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, or even a private harbor cruise. Alternatively, we can arrange a wonderful visit to some of the city’s museums or the world famous Taronga Zoo.

On your final day in Australia, Quintessentially Escape has arranged for a private car and driver to take you to Sydney International Airport for your return flight home.
